Built on character,not formula.
Smugglers Inns was built on a simple belief: every great night out deserves a venue with genuine character. Not a chain, not a formula. Just great drinks, great people, and somewhere you actually want to be.
Where it started
It began with a single bar on the Wirral. Smugglers Cove Bebington opened as a neighbourhood venue that took its craft seriously, from the drinks list to the atmosphere. It quickly found its community.
From there came Smugglers Coffee. The same philosophy, a different format. Specialty coffee in-venue and on the road, with a mobile trailer showing up at events, markets and private bookings across the North West.
Where we’re going
Liverpool and Chester are next. Both cities deserve venues that put character first. We’re also building towards something larger: destination-level hospitality that raises the benchmark for the brand.
Every Smugglers venue is built and run by us. No franchises, no shortcuts. The model scales because we never compromise on the thing that makes it work: each venue feels like it belongs where it is.
The company
We are Smugglers Inns Ltd., a hospitality company based in the North West of England. We operate bars, coffee venues, and mobile catering units. Our spirits are supplied by The Black Pearl Distillery, whose rum sits behind every Smugglers bar.

From the spirits to the coffee, every product is chosen carefully. We use Black Pearl Distillery spirits because they're exceptional.
